Qualifications
· Writing skills with the ability to cover news, arts and features, as well as writing for television broadcast. Familiar with AP Style and the solid foundations of writing a dynamic news or feature story.
· Solid understanding if the inner workings of a newsroom environment, with a great respect for deadlines and the ability to tell a good story.
· Still photographer with the ability to shoot news, sports, features and studio photography. I have demonstrated these skills covering stories such as Hurricane Gustav and the Presidential Election at the North Texas Daily as a photographer, writer and multi media journalist.
· Ability to shoot and edit video and audio for broadcast on the web or television, and conduct interviews for multi media projects. Proficient in editing software, such as Final Cut Pro, Sound Slides and Audacity.
