I have learned that multimedia is quickly becoming a integrate part of the journalism world.  So I have been engulfing myself in learning the process and trying to prefect the use of audio slide shows and Video.  Below are some the stories that I have done recently.

The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo is a big event around the Mertoplex, with many people coming from all over the country to see the exhibits and livestock.  I spoke to one particular woman who looked at her animal as not just a cow, but a family pet.

People in Texas love the right to bare arms, but some take it a step farther.  There is a culture of people who feel like the world could come to an end at any moment, and they want to be ready for it.  Preparing himself for a day that may or may not come, Pete Giomio wants to be ready just in case.  Click on the link below to hear his story.

Opera Without Elephants

The Opera Without Elephants is a production put on by the UNT Opera department.  The show uses bare minimum props and is culmination of seven opera scenes and a full length opera that was crammed into a two night performence at the Murchison Performing Arts Center.  The Opera presented scenes from Wolfgang Mozart’s “Don Giovanni,” Francis Poulenc’s “Dialogues des Carmélites,” Carlisle Floyd’s “Cold Sassy Tree” and Gaetano Donizetti’s “L’elisir d’amore.”
